Letting Go of Self-Judgment

How often do you find yourself judging your own thoughts or feelings?

“I shouldn’t feel this way.”

“Why can’t I just get over it?”

“What’s wrong with me?”

These quiet, persistent judgments build up. Over time, they create tension in the body, noise in the mind, and a barrier around the heart.

Judgment keeps us stuck in a negative loop, making it difficult to observe what’s really happening in the moment. It disconnects us from our inner wisdom and causes us to miss the subtle signals—like what may have triggered a reaction, or what your body is truly asking for.

The more we judge, the more we spiral.

But the moment we become aware of these patterns, we have a choice.

That’s where Reiki comes in.

You may have heard me say that Reiki is the art of letting go.

Reiki teaches the concept of letting go – and getting out of our own way. It’s an invitation to let go… to let go of anger and worry, the what-if’s and should-haves, and to guide our energy towards the present moment, gratitude, and self-compassion.

Reiki always gives us what we need. It helps us to restore balance (whatever this means for every individual) and create space. Space to breathe. Space to be. Space for life and possibilities to come in… sometimes in seemingly miraculous ways.
