When life doesn’t go as planned…

Sometimes life doesn’t go as planned – and the only consistency is in the inconsistency.

We live in a world that is changing rapidly. While change is a natural process of life and part of the human experience, many feel increasingly challenged in the face of adversity and uncertainty. To navigate the ups and downs of life, we need resilience, a skill that can be learned, honed, and strengthened.

“Resilience is the process and outcome of successfully adapting to difficult or challenging life experiences, especially through mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility and adjustment to external and internal demands.”

Reiki has given me the gift of resilience and opened the door to a more mindful life. That’s why my focus as a Reiki professional is to help people understand and manage their energy and to build resilience. To stop being out there. To step back in. To Re-Source themselves with simple tools and techniques to help transform anger, manage anxiety and worry, and root themselves in the present moment.

Even though it may not feel like it, we have a choice every day. Every moment even. When change and shi(f)t happen, we can choose to stay in the grips of anger, worry or anxiety. Or we can choose to become present, center and ground ourselves, which helps us to tune into the body and get out of the head. My course, Navigating Uncertainty, which starts on June 4, is based on the Reiki precepts and teaches easy-to-use ways to resource ourselves from the inside.
