There's a lot going on right now

In this ever-changing world, self-care is a MUST, not a luxury anymore.

Our physical, mental and emotional health depend on it. Even our collective well-being depends on it... because people who are calm, centered and at peace think clearly and strategically,  are more present and focused on what needs to get done. 

Fear feeds anxiety and anger. Anxiety and anger fuel chaos. Chaos brings uncertainty. 

And all that so many people yearn for, especially right now, is a sense of safety and stability...

Relaxation quiets the mind, restores the body, and makes us feel human again. Here I'm in my new office, taking a moment to pause and enjoy my Thrive sanctuary.   

As I dive deeper into this awareness, I'm understanding and valuing the importance of going at my own pace. It's a skill that can be learned. One that requires courage and honesty. Just like resilience, the ability to deal with difficult situations - and continue to move forward...

In order to build resilience, I need to take care of myself - and that's the greatest gift that Reiki has taught me. Here are three lessons that I learned along the way:

ACCEPTANCE

... things are as they are. People are as they are. It is what it is. But how I react or respond can be my choice.

BOUNDARIES

... knowing my limits, my energetic bandwidth, physical and emotional resources, teaches me where and how I need to focus.

COMMITMENT

... to myself, to my well-being and sanity, first.

Your attention, time and energy are your most valuable resources. While time is not something that you can get back, you can redirect your attention and reset your energy.
