Life is meant for living...

and not for stressing. By Andrea Kartika Deierlein

· Reiki,Mindfulness,Mindset,Healing

When Mikao Usui developed and introduced the system of Reiki 100 years ago, he gave us a way of life, a practice for self-healing, and tools to manage life challenges.

The Reiki precepts are one of the five main elements of the system of Reiki. They are the foundation and the guiding light of Reiki – and an excellent starting point to begin your journey of self-healing (and for living):

Here is a translation of the precepts as they are inscribed on Usui’s tombstone in Tokyo, Japan (Source: The Japanese Art of Reiki by Bronwen and Frans Stiene):

“The secret of inviting happiness through many blessings

The spiritual medicine for all illness

For today only:

Do not anger

Do not worry

Be humble

Be honest in your work

Be compassionate to yourself and others

Do gassho every morning and evening

Keep in your mind and recite

Usui Reiki Ryoho*

Improve your mind and body

The founder – Usui Mikao”

* Usui Reiki Ryoho can be translated as "Usui Spiritual Energy Healing Method"

You don’t have to be trained in Reiki or receive a Reiki treatment to benefit from the message of the precepts and to re-align the flow of energy within your body. All you need to do is find a quiet spot, take a few moments, set the intention to be present.

I'm showing how in this video:
