Letting life come

By Andrea Kartika Deierlein

· Reiki,Selfcare,Mindset

Change happens. Life happens. Resistance happens. That’s the invitation for shift to happen.

But it takes practice and patience to slow down and let life come. For many, an automatic reaction is often to hustle, to rush to make things happen, trying to squeeze things in, and to plan every tiny detail.

How about playing with some of these thoughts or intentions this summer?

I will take time to clear my mind (schedule, closet, inbox… whatever comes to you that is overflowing) and focus on what is essential for today.

I care enough about myself to relax.

It is sometimes necessary to absolutely do nothing.

A few weeks ago, Erin and Mary completed their Reiki 1 training with me. We explored how working with Reiki teaches the concept of letting go – and getting out of our own way. It’s an invitation to let go… to let go of anger and worry, the what-if’s and should-have’s, and to guide our energy towards the present moment, gratitude and self-compassion.

Reiki always gives us what we need. It helps us to restore balance (whatever this means for every individual) and creates space. Space for progress and possibilities to come in… sometimes in seemingly miraculous ways.

May you experience space, calm & peace – today and every day.
