There are times in life when the familiar no longer fits, yet the new hasn’t taken shape. This in-between is called the liminal space, a threshold that asks us to slow down, soften, and trust.
In liminal space, clarity cannot be forced. The more we hold our breath, the more answers slip away.
It’s an invitation to:
- PAUSE
- WAIT
- TRUST
- Let go of trying to fix or fast-forward.
- Feel. Listen. Allow.
When we slow down and stay present, the next steps rise in their own timing.

What Helps in the In-Between
I have found these reminders helpful:
- It’s okay not to know what comes next.
- Uncertainty doesn’t mean something is wrong.
- I don’t have to force clarity when there’s none.
- Life doesn’t need to go on hold while I wait.
In these in-between moments, I turn to simple things: my breath, the beauty of everyday objects, small joys, small wins. These keep me grounded until clarity returns.
As we move through this holiday season, and whatever liminal spaces may arise at the end of the year, may you feel supported and guided. May clarity come softly. May the new year bring ease, joy, and renewed connection.
Happy Holidays,
Andrea
