Sometimes life catches us by surprise - and we get caught by a rain shower.
Sometimes we’re prepared and brought an umbrella.
Sometimes we get soaked.
Life and sh*t happens. For some things we can prepare. Plan ahead. Other times things just happen - and we can’t control them.
There are times in life when we need resilience more than ever. The ability to dry off, get up, and start over again. The ability to get a little bit stronger every time we get wet or knocked down.
I believe that sh*t happens so that shifts can happen. But I also feel the frustration, the anxiety, and the tension in the air. While we need to dry off or get up, we also need to slow down. To stop trying to make things happen, to stop the pushing, so that life can unfold.
My friend Ellen recently shared this quote from Jeff Foster with me – maybe you’ll find it helpful, too:
“Leave everything undefined, including yourself. Befriend uncertainty. Fall in love with mystery. Kneel at the altar of Not Knowing. Give your questions time to breathe and the answers will find you.”
May you experience PRESENCE, PEACE, and CALM – today and every day.
