Rewind to March last year.
When the world suddenly came to a screeching halt. Borders were closed. And toilet paper became the hottest commodity. We all remember these days well. Will never forget them. From one day to the next, everything changed.
We had just gone into lockdown.
To be honest with you... ...the uncertainty of the situation was rough for me, as I’m sure it was for you. But I walked my own talk. In this time of uncertainty, I turned to my Reiki-based meditations and tools even more. I did my best to stay present. To take things day-by-day.
Sometimes even, one breath. At. A. Time. (The truth is, that’s all you can do anyway, with or without a pandemic.)
Right after we went into lockdown, my friend Z called me and asked, if I could offer some mindfulness and meditation practice online for her community. I could. That’s when we started the Zoom version of Mindful Mondays for the Yonkers Public Library which ran for 17 consecutive Mondays and averaged 40 weekly participants.
My clients, too, asked for support and if I could help them outside of the treatment room – and I said yes… Again.
And then I dug deep. Because I knew that with the growing uncertainty in the world, I needed to be of service more than ever. I examined all the meditations, techniques, and tools I’d gathered in my years from studying, practicing, and teaching Reiki. Every. Single. One. I asked myself what the benefits of each tool was, whether it was to help find calm, or clarity, or re-center. And then I re-packaged all my tools—and everything I’ve learned about Reiki—into a program.
From idea to realization, it took almost one year. There were many people involved in the making and creating of Reset Your Energy (RYE). And I’m so deeply grateful to every one of them.
The world is different now. I am different now. We’re all different now.
If you’ve been feeling uncertain about life, please know that there’s a way to re-center, re-set, and re-launch yourself with a sense of inner safety… This sense of inner safety that is always there. Always has been. Always will be.
But sometimes we need a little help and guidance to
· access that sense of CALM and CLARITY we all know is inside us - no matter how much stress or perceived uncertainty we’re experiencing
· identify, uncover and learn how to utilize the triggers that hijack our minds (and learn that our bodies are our GPS)
· walk away with easy-to-use tools for grounding, centering, and returning to self, so we can deal with anything life throws your way
While many people wish to return to “normal”, the truth is… “normal” doesn’t exist anymore.
It’s up to us now, each one of us, to reset our lives, use our energy, in the best possible way that supports us.
Authentically. With integrity. And compassion. Deep compassion. For ourselves, others, and each other.
