My Approach to Healing

There are a lot of myths and unrealistic expectations about Reiki practice when it comes to “healing.”

This makes it confusing to know what’s right for you when you’re stressed out, overwhelmed, tormented by anxiety, in physical and emotional pain, feel like you’re stuck or in the grip of a life crisis or challenge.

That’s why I like to share my approach with you today: I’m here to help you relax… so you can breathe again.

MY APPROACH is based on creating and empowering a lasting change within you.

Rooted in the belief that to heal means to make whole, my practice focuses on stress relief and management and works with the mind-body-connection. In addition to touch, my tool kit, based on the Reiki system of natural healing, includes mindfulness and meditation techniques.

Once your body calms down and your mind gets an opportunity to rest, your energy can do what it is supposed to do, which is to return your system (body-mind-spirit) to a state of balance. I also call this the Reset Your Energy process.

When your body and emotions are not in chaos and crisis, your healing journey can begin.

I really love this quote about healing by Rachel Naomi Remen:

“Healing may not be so much about getting better,

as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs –

and becoming who you are.”

As we’re nearing the end of 2020, what are you willing to let go, which stories, expectations, beliefs?

How can you create more space in your system for yourself?

I’ve learned that the body talks, sometimes scream even, and that symptoms indicate when we’re off track and something needs to change within. I’ve experienced, personally and very painfully, that the greatest source of stress is when we’re working against ourselves, instead of with ourselves.
